Is there something wrong with him, or is he just weird?

The tub is cold. Cats like to lay on cold floors or surfaces.

He isn't weird, just being a cat!!! :)

My cats love the tub. I finally put their water dish under the
Jazzy/Jazzie
faucet and refill it as needed. Just move the dish out when you are ready

to shower. They no longer make a mess on the floor around their water

It is natural for cats. Mine are in the empty tub all the time. It is
cool there. Let him be all of mine go in the tub for one reason or
another & they have a self waterer chilled so it isn't water. Mine drink
from the faucet as well, it is a habit. No more no less. Mine will sit
on the tub when I am on the pot just to be where I am. the they rearrange
the litter. NO worries.

My cat is just like that, but sits on the rugs in the hallway.

LOL, both of mine are, too. I think it is common. My newest

kitty gets upset when I am in the tub and there is water in it, and she

can not get in. She will lean over and meow at me.

My other cat loves to play in the tub without water. He will take toys in

and bat them around in there. I think he likes the smooth surface, and
also the walls give him a sense of a hideout.

door with his paw. Oh well.

running water is fascinating
the drain has a distinctive odour - i've seen cats peeing in it

you can get him a deep ceramic bowl that will keep water cooler for him,
Viewed 17131 times
or add some ice cubes, put it on a cooler tiled floor & keep it out of the
sun - this might help.

Other than that, the tub probably just feels nice on his tummy - if you
dont want him in there, shut the door & dont ever let him in - he will
forget about it eventually.

My cats do the exact same thing. But be careful-make sure your

litter box is clean or they might have a purposeful accident.
